and the winner is ...

the fashion weeks start and it’s love at first sight. after the very first runways I am overwhelmed by livestreams, pictures, videos and all the style.com, Vogue, WWD first rows and dinner parties, and events and fabulosity all around.

the hints of next season are immediately palpable: trends, colors, fabrics, inspirations, mood boards. but then there’s one that stands out no matter if it’s an Oscar studded or not. like last Fall ‘11 season I fell madly in love with the sheer giant polka dot of Stella McCartney second look and Miu Miu's Spring '12 collection that captured the whole avant-garde cheeky feel of Mad Man fashion.

do I have a Fall ‘12 favorite? this season the award goes to Madame Vionnet

the collection is PERFECT : the colors, the geometrics, the fur, the fabrics, the textures, the mood, the chicness, the elegance. since the house has been taken over by Matteo Marzotto and the 2 designers sisters Barbara & Luisa Croce, it became live again.

textures, color block, strategic neckline, inlays, sheer all in one.

meet you at the intersection of ideas

"you become the best at something none else is attempting".

with my blog I am not inventing anything new. it is just a kaleidoscope of style, fashion, couture and street fashion, Vogue, WWD, history, design, Hollywood stars, decoration, icons, obsession of the moment, runway shows, royalty with the eyes of my personality. every season I create jewelry inspired by what I see, feel, taste, try, perceive.

it ends up being a unique display of what catches my senses every day, but reinterpreted.

can it be defined?

meet me at the corner of Haute Couture and Street Style, maybe?

or where Flea Market meets Museum Opening, perhaps?

this blog is like a charming London mews: you may have a long day at work, but you know you’ll open it to find solace and happiness and satisfy your cravings sipping either Champagne or Jasmin tea.

I am having genuine fun researching, writing and posting.

so I hope you do too.

yours truly,

a "Vogue-fied" Adele

here in Vogue Britain September 2011: true, real, veracious and simply stunning beauty.

and here in Vogue US March 2012. A Vogue-fied, photoshopped and altered version of her magnificent beauty.

PS I can’t help but asking myself: was it necessary? Anyhow: CONGRATS to all the deserved awards and many more to come!
